Rob started his martial arts training at the age of 15 years, and since then he hasn’t looked back, he holds grades in kick boxing, Kuk Sool Won and of course Taekwondo.

Rob started Taekwondo in 1991 and is currently a 4th Dan black belt and senior instructor at the Han Soo Kwan Taekwondo club in Burnley.

He has competed on a national level with much success and is now instructing to pass on his experience to others who wish to step out onto the competition circuit, as well as teach people the wonderful art of Taekwondo.

The club has been running now for approximately 7 years and is currently a full member of the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB).

The BTCB also belongs to the European Taekwondo Union and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

The instructor is Rob Mowat who is a 4th Dan Black Belt in the art.

The club has a friendly atmosphere with approximately 35 members at present, and attends regular Taekwondo competitions and seminars around the county.

The club is committed to students who wish to progress in Taekwondo but also encourage people who are just looking to train, keep fit and improve their self defence skills without the grading system.

Taekwondo is an Olympic Sport now from the year 2000, and is practiced by over 20 million people world wide making it one of the most recent, yet most popular Martial Arts around today.

It is a Korean Martial Art with dynamic kicking skills, self defence techniques, full contact sparring, breaking skills and patterns.

It is a good well rounded Martial Art and easy to understand and apply.

TRAINING

MONDAY - THURSDAY  7-9:30pm

The club is registered with the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB) and the Eurpoean Taekwondo Union (ETU). The style is full contact World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).
